Creating Games
Your kids really only need cardboard and imagination. But you can also collect materials to create game making kit to jump start them. While cleaning out our gaming closet (thank you, Organize With Ease), I salvaged pieces from the games we were getting rid of. That included a couple boards which they can re-cover, plan, and design for their new game. I put everything together in a box, and now it’s ready for them to use and enjoy however they like.
Please share your own child’s creative game in the comments, so others can be inspired!
My friend, Cindy, said her son “loves to create his own board games! Last week he created a game that he and I played several times. There were 3 islands drawn out, with stores, churches, and an airport. The object of the game was to buy Bibles then get them distributed to all the churches on these remote islands.” What a cool game to play!
