Description
Using these Room Cards on chore days provides your child with a step-by-step checklist so they can do a great job and meet mom’s expectations for a clean room! Each of the six Room Cards/checklists helps a child work through the different parts of cleaning that specific room thoroughly by breaking tasks down into more manageable parts.

- Recommendations and ideas for how to use this resource
Ideas
- CLEANING SUPPLIES: You may want to add a list of your preferred cleaning supplies on the back of each respective card, to help your child gather the correct supplies.
- FEELING OVERWHELMED: If all the tasks on a Room Card becomes too daunting for your child to tackle, consider assigning/marking only particular tasks, or you may also choose to extend the amount of time or number of days to complete the card.
- BONUS & REMINDERS: There is a “bonus” on each Room Card. If your child goes for the bonus, be sure to praise (and maybe reward) him/her for going the extra mile!
- ADD YOUR OWN ROOMS: Wish there was also a card for the Back Porch or the Laundry Room or the Garage? No problem! Blank Room Cards are included in this file so you may add as many other rooms/places/chores as you like!
- TINY TASKS: Incorporate the square “Tiny Task Cards” in any way you wish. These small chores can be cut out and assigned to younger children or they can be assigned on days when the family is especially busy and doesn’t have much time to dedicate to cleaning. Blank cards have been included, so you can create more Tiny Tasks that work for your home!
