More than Words

Since high school, I have kept a notebook where I laid my heart on paper when I read particular Scriptures that encouraged or challenged me, and I recorded my own personal notes about those verses, about prayers, about what the Lord was speaking to me. Now that I am 25, I have a collection of binders and notebooks full of these special verses and thoughts.

Yesterday, I opened the pages again and pondered the truth in them. It is so encouraging to see on paper how my life has been molded by the Bible and the Holy Spirit. Those pages reminded me of how the Lord has always been faithful to me, and how He has guided my steps. It also challenged me to review areas of my life that I was once stronger in than I am now.

We must remember and cherish the Word of God spoken to us. I am grateful to the Lord for His presence in my life. He is not a distant God that I must please with rituals – He is my intimate Savior who loves me, who listens to me, who talks to me, who set me FREE from the bondage of sin that I was born in to. He gives me joy and peace and mercy, and because of Him, I LIVE!

I love it! That was encouraging…kinda makes me feel those “Word of God” hunger pains! I wanted to read the “Worship blogs” you had told me about so I looked you up. I hope you don’t mind…? God Bless!
