Achieve It

Last month, my husband made an eagle in golf…He was ecstatic! He danced around throwing clubs in the air, because he was so excited. He achieved something he had never before achieved. In his words, it was the biggest rush he has felt since he hit a homerun in college.

When was the last time you achieved something in your spiritual life that you have never before achieved? When was the last time you sought God so fervently that He touched you in an amazing and life-changing way? God doesn’t want us to be satisfied with making par, and we shouldn’t be either. God has given us the gifts and tools we need to live an abundant, growing, amazing life that impacts others and glorifies Him.

If Tim went out to the golf course with a stick and an acorn instead of a club and a golf ball, he would NOT do well on the score card, and I would not be expecting him home before dinner. But if he takes the right clubs and balls and does his best with them, he may come home dancing about a new high score.

Use what God has equipped you with, to make a new high score. It’s possible. And God is cheering you on.

“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 3:13,14
