Time to Conquer

A lady at my church was telling me last week that her son is going through extremely intense training for the U.S. Special Forces. She explained that if these soldiers can make it through the training, they absolutely deserve to be chosen. Thinking about how difficult this sounded, I asked the question, “Does he want to be in the Special Forces?” Her quick reply was, “Oh, yes!”
I have been thinking about that a lot. You know, God has very important work that needs to be done here on this earth, and He needs the best soldiers to handle it. Lately, I have found myself desperately wanting to be part of God’s big plan – more than what I’m contributing now. I can do more, I can get closer to God, and I can be a greater threat to the enemy. I want the enemy to cringe when I come near. I want him to tremble because the power of God is so strong on me that he can’t bear it. I want to take all the filth and deception he has spread and I want to throw it back in his face. Satan is not in competition with Jesus. Satan is not Jesus’ equal. Satan was defeated when Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead! It’s time for the people of God to stand up straight with the armor of God securely about them and the power of God upon them. It’s time to start fighting like the conquerors we are through Christ!

Do you want to be in God’s Special Forces? It takes a lot of extremely intense training. You’ll have to face huge obstacles and work under seemingly-impossible conditions. You’ll have to tap into every ounce of faith you have, sharpen your sword to the maximum, and stir up courage you didn’t know you could have. Can you handle that? Is that what you want? I hope you can answer, “Oh, yes!”

You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? -Psalm 18:28-31

You hit the nail on the head again!
    Wonderful, encouraging and stirring.
Churches everywhere should print your articles in their weekly bulletins. Magazines should print them, too. Hummm…Have you consider submitting any of them to Christian magazines?
